A Window on Local Art Shows

It's going to be hard to turn a corner this month without bumping into some art.

Art Students’ Exhibition at North Hall.
First of all, as The Digital Notebook reported on Feb. 8, the "Re-Creative" show of art made with recycled materials will continue at the Gallery School of Pottstown, 245 E. High St., through April 27.

There will be a reception Saturday, April 14 from 12-3 p.m. and the best in Show prize, sponsored by the BIE Green Team, will be presented 1:30 p.m.

A similar show is gearing up at the Montgomery County Community College, which will state a show from April 9 to 18th called "Eco+Logic" in honor of Earth Day.

Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to participate in the art contest, showcasing ecologically themed and/or recycled art works, which is open to all media.

The registration deadline is April 4 and the deadline for dropping off art work is April 6.
