The Trevails of a Modern Mother Goose

Blogger's Note: Not to play favorites, we now present a submission from Beth Tripani, who helps promote events in the Pottsgrove School District. Everybody can get a bite at the apple. (No pun intended of course)

On Thursday, Nov. 17 Pottsgrove High School will present the children’s musical, Mother Goose, Incorporated in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m..

The show’s brisk pace, familiar characters and running time (1 hour) make it ideal entertainment for both the young and the “young at heart.”

The plot centers on the age-old competition between Mother Goose and the Brothers Grimm.
The Brothers Grimm (Vinny Pellechio and Jeremy Downey) try to negotiate a new contract with their star diva, Snow White (Anastasia Koss).

Mother Goose’s employees, including Cinderella, Prince Charming, Rapunzel, the Three Little Pigs and the Three Bears, encourage her to take a vacation, but while she’s gone, Simple Simon messes everything up and the employees go on strike.

The only way Simon can bring them back to work and get the company out of the red is to agree to have them appear on a fairy tale television special with the Brothers Grimm and their employees, including Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White and the Dwarves, and Little Red Riding Hood.

Unfortunately, the Grimms plan to sabotage the show.

This show allows each of the 29 actors moments in the spotlight.

The production features Seth Ayres, MJ Bird, Danielle Buchanan, Breyana Clark, Brittany Cooper, Jeremy Downey, Annie Fisher, TJ Galamba, Bailey Gilmore, Justin Hernandez, Abby Hudock, Aaron Jaffe, Ashleigh Kleinschmidt, Anastasia Koss, Mollie Marko, Passone Nettles, Tayler Nofer, Andrea Paganelli, Shelby Paston, Vinny Pellechio, Kristi Shultz, Rebecca Smith, Josh Toth, Hailee Tyson, Dan Weand, Emily Weaver, Allison Wentzel, Nick Wolfe, and Yinan Xiong.

Admission to the show is $3 at the door while children 12 and under will be admitted for free.  For additional information, phone (610) 326-5105.
