District Judge Ed Kropp Jr. meets with the Junior Guardian Angels

Blogger's Note: This was submitted by Rob Matthews, who has helped to organize the Pottstown Guardian Angels and the Junior Guardian Angels.

Every other month the Jr. Guardian Angels gather to attend a local field trip that has a community oriented theme.

Initially we are trying to educate area youth on how community works and to associate faces and personalities with support elements of the community.

Getting a feel for the witness box.

In January 2012 the Jr. Angels had visited Pottstown Borough Council, met the council members and received a proclamation from Pottstown’s Mayor.

In March they toured the Pottstown Police Department to develop a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of police officers.

In July they were provided fire safety instruction at Empire Hook and Ladder.

On Saturday August 18th the Jr. Angels were hosted by District Justice Ed Kropp at District Court.

An explanation of Roles and Responsibilities of the District Justice and function of District Court was provided along with a question and answer session.

As a result of these events, It is our intent to put down the street myth about snitching and put the spotlight on right, wrong and personal responsibility.

A group of kids who learned that "Justice" means more than "Just Us."
