Representative Chrissy Houlahan is urging President Biden to rescue the United States Postal Service (USPS) by replacing the entire USPS Board of Governors, which has continued to enable Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and his harmful acts.

In August, Rep. Houlahan called on President Trump to fire DeJoy for his increasingly partisan attacks on the USPS that have significantly harmed the USPS and the millions of Americans who rely on its services.

“The Postmaster General is not only failing at his job but is also actively harming the United States Postal Service and the countless Pennsylvanians who rely on its services,” said Houlahan.

“My community is hurting – veterans aren’t getting their prescriptions on time; families are paying late fees because their bills still haven’t showed up; workers are falling behind on rent because their paychecks have been lost. Times are hard enough, and Louis DeJoy has demonstrated time and again that he is unable or unwilling to get the job done," she said.

“I am calling on President Biden to use his authority to immediately and summarily replace the entire USPS Board of Governors. As a collective body, the board has failed the American people in their tacit support of DeJoy," said Houlahan.

“These are trying times, and our responsibility as elected leaders is to do everything in our power to help lessen the pain being felt by so many Americans," she said. "My duty is to my community, and their message has been clear – the USPS is failing them.”
