Electronics Recycling Event Planned for Nov. 14

Blogger's Note: The following was submitted by Green Allies.

Green Allies has realized that one recycling event a year is not enough.

It makes the line too long. Therefore the group has added a second one so that you can get in and out as fast as possible.

This November’s event will be for electronics only, while the spring event will also include metal, appliances and items with freon (air conditioners etc…) and more.

On Saturday, Nov. 14th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the GreenAllies organization, managers of the Althouse Arboretum, will be hosting an Electronics Recycling Event at the Hillside Aquatic Club parking lot, located at 134 W. Moyer Road.

There is a $10 donation per vehicle (unlimited amount). For the safety of our volunteers and participants, this event will be a “drive-through drop-off.”

Student volunteers will be there to unload each vehicle.

The recycling day is open to everyone and some charges do apply. Properly recycle most your electronics free of charge after admission. Old TV’s and computer monitors are also accepted but a disposal fee is charged by the company.

All materials will be recycled by PAR Recycling Services. More information can be found at www.althousearboretum.org or by calling 267-371-2288.
