Electronics Recycling Event Set for March 7

Blogger's Note: The following was provided by Green Allies.

Green Allies is teaming up with West Pottsgrove Township to hold a household electronics, appliances, and metal recycling day.

There is a $10 per vehicle charge.

It will be held on Saturday March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Target store in the Upland Square shopping center. The collection area is only accessible off Upland Square Drive.

You may want to be sure to give yourself lots of time as last year's event attracted more than 500 vehicles-worth of recyclables.

Ken Hamilton, executive director of Green Allies, said last year that best estimates indicate more than 1,000 TV's and computers were recycled, along with more than 8,000 pounds of appliance and metal and more than 200 air conditioners.

  3. My friend was telling me that he has a lot of old computers, and that he doesn’t know what to do with them. It’s interesting that Electronics Recycling them actually helps remove valuable parts that can be reused! Since he doesn’t use them, this might be a great option.
