PHS National Honor Society Inducts 18 Members

This year's Pottstown High School National Honor Society

The Fall may mark the time of the year when nature prepares to slow down for a long cold Winter, but at Pottstown High School it is a time of activity and induction for academic organizations.

The National Honor Society inducted 18 new members during a candle lighting ceremony recently.

In order to be considered for membership students must have a 93 percent or higher grade point average and be chosen by the faculty council based on their involvement in the four pillars of NHS (leadership, scholarship, service, and character.)

Candle lighters for the ceremony were, Johnny Stilwell, Chloe Hebert, Sebastian Buchanan, Jacob Eagle.

Newly elected officers are: Andrew Green, Secretary; Winni Weng, Vice President; Alexandria Olvera, Treasurer; and David Hicks. President.
