The Pottstown Dragon Warriors, a local dragon boat team, held their annual fundraising event Friday, Sept. 6, hosted and sponsored by Manatawny Green Mini Golf. The Pottstown Dragon Warriors are deeply indebted to their local sponsors’ donations that help offset costs for race dues, paddle equipment and boat maintenance.
Those sponsors are: Manatawny Green Mini Golf , Spinal Care Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, Vasco Carpentry Inc., The Goddard School of Schwenksville, Bailey's Automotive Services LLC, Mr. & Mrs. Chris Marquart, Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association, Inward Way Center for Wellness, Eugene B Clark Painting, Shear to Please, Professional Pharmacy, Thai Spice Limerick, Baglivio Cleaning services, Pottstown Dairy Queen, Dr. Scott Samuelson, Pottstown Massage Therapist Tara Houseal, L.M.T.
Additional contributions were made by the generous participants of a 50/50 raffle collected at The Carousel, Manatawny Green Mini Golf and The Alley on High street.
The 50/50 Grand Prize winner is Kathi Rees of Royersford, who graciously donated her winnings back to the Dragon Warrior Team.
Runner-up prizes were awarded to Owen Buchanan of Douglassville and spunky 3 year old Morgan Dierolf, accompanied by her mother Sarah, they both received gift certificates for a free 8” chillabration cake from Dairy Queen on High Street.
The Pottstown Dragon Warriors was established in 2013 by the Pottstown Athletic Club, a family friendly non-profit fitness center located at 263 King St. in Pottstown.
The Pottstown Dragon Warriors is a competitive team of women and men participating in several yearly dragon boat competitions throughout southeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
