German Sheppard Major Biden is the first dog to go from a shelter to The White House. |
Montgomery County Treasurer Jason Salus has announced that his office is hosting a photo contest of the dogs of Montgomery County.
It is a celebration of the so-called “Indoguration” of Major Biden, the first shelter dog to become First Dog, Salus said.
“Our hope is to highlight the need for adoption of shelter dogs into welcoming, safe homes. Since we also provide dog licenses, it is the perfect opportunity to feature the dogs of Montgomery County,” said Salus.
Simply send a photo of your dog (no humans please) with the theme of the 2021 Inauguration to treasurer@montcopa.org.
Kindly include your dog’s name in the subject line.
Photos will be judged by the Sheriff’s office and the Office of the District Attorney.
