Students Increase Their 'Body' of Knowledge

Students in the Pottstown High School anatomy and
physiology class discect a fetal pig.
Blogger's Note: The following was provided by the Pottstown School District.

Pottstown High School students in Sara Miller's anatomy and physiology class who have dreams of careers in the medical and health fields are doing some hands on learning of anatomy by dissecting a fetal pig as part of their education.

You can talk about a subject, or read about it in books or even see a movie about anatomy.

But until you have actually explored and located organs in a body you can not appreciate the miracle a living organism.

The project requires students to be able to collaborate and communicate in order to locate and study organs and the role they play in body functions.

The next surgeon may very well have gotten their start in Ms.Miller's class.
