All Hail the King and Queen (And the rest of their court too of course)

Recently, Pottstown High School celebrated its annual homecoming event by naming Sierra Lee as the Homecoming Queen and Miles Elliot as the Homecoming King for 2012.

The event, which took place at halftime of the Pottstown vs. Pope John Paul II football game, was sponsored by the high school KEY Club under the direction of Mr. Dennis Arms. Members of the homecoming court represented various school clubs. Members of the court were:


  •  Autumn Daye – KEY Club – She is involved in KEY Club, Soccer, and Lacrosse. Upon graduation Autumn plans to study Criminal Justice and play Soccer at Millersville University.
  • Sierra Lee – Cheerleading – She is a member of DECA, Peer Mediation, Choir, Concert Band, Marching Band, Flute Ensemble, Cheerleading, and Track. Sierra serves as Secretary for Peer Mediation and is a DECA Officer. Upon graduation Sierra plans to study Business Management.
  • Kelsey Shumaker – Student Government – She is involved in Student Government, Concert Band, and Clarinet Ensemble. Kelsey serves as the Secretary for the Marching Band and Captain of the Lacrosse and Field Hockey Teams. Upon graduation Kelsey plans to study Medicine and play Lacrosse.
  • Sydney Swartz – Peer Mediation – She is involved in Peer Mediation, DECA, KEY Club, and Soccer. Sydney serves as the Secretary of Student Government. Upon graduation Sydney plans to attend the College of Charleston to study Nursing.
  • Morgan Wambold – National Honor Society – She is a member of KEY Club, Student Government, Student Ambassadors, Marching Band, Concert Band, Soccer, and Lacrosse. Morgan serves as the Vice President of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation Morgan plans to study Physical Therapy with a focus in Rehabilitation.
  • Sam Dudley – DECA – He is active in Jazz Band, Student Ambassadors, and DECA. Sam serves as President of the PHS Marching Band. Upon graduation Sam plans to study Music Education with a minor in Music Business.
  • Miles Elliot – KEY Club – He is involved in KEY Club and Basketball. Miles also serves as a mentor to a group of young men in our elementary schools. Upon graduation Miles plans to study Education.
  • Nate Flickinger – Class of 2012 – He is involved in Football, Student Government, and Peer Mediation. Nate is the Captain of the Trojans and serves as Fundraiser Chair for the Class of 2013.Upon graduation Nate plans to study Physical Education or Athletic Training. Representing Nate for the evening was Derek Beyer, Class of 2014.
  • Jake Gery – Student Government – He is active in Student Government, National Honor Society, and Varsity Baseball. Upon graduation Jake plans to enter the Navy upon completion of his collegiate studies.
  • Kris Horsey – Anime Club – He is involved in Band, Chess Club, and Ju-Jitsu. Kris is the President of the Anime Club, Interact Club, and Upward Bound. Upon graduation Kris plans to study Computer Science.
  • Alyssa Maldonado, 2011 Homecoming Queen, was on hand to crown this year’s queen. Alyssa is currently studying Biochemistry at West Chester University. The 2010 Homecoming King, Ralphie Vega, Jr., assisted in crowning the new king. Ralphie is currently studying Radiology.
